Thoughts for Jan, 2009

These two items are nothing new, I designed and built them both about two years ago. I still think they're quite cool though.
One is a mother and daughter that I gave to Willow and the other is a female (obviously) javelin thrower that belongs to a friend. I've had metal sculpture on my mind ever since I got the new Makita Die Grinder.

Six of these heavy duty wall fixtures were fabricated at the FridayPhoto FabShop in the weeks leading up to Xmas '08. They were each unique with different styles of back plates and different styles of hooks. All torch cut from 3/8" steel plate and ground to shape.
